The Invitation written by Oriah Mountain Dreamer

I want to know
if you can sit with pain
mine or your own
without moving to hide it
or fade it
or fix it.

Love & Leadership with Kerry Steuart

Beyond your words and well-manicured behaviors, people will always see and sense what exactly is going on in the deepest parts of your heart for them. When they are convinced that what is cooking in the heart-pot of yours they will lick their lips, raise their faces up into the air, and love you back for loving them truly and loving them right.

Accept Yourself, the SAGE and GUIDE, Episode 5 by Raju Mandhyan

If you consider yourself lacking companionship and hunger for a healthy relationship then get a new haircut, buy a pair of nice shoes, and hit the happening places. Sooner or later someone will catch your eye or someone might just drop down from the skies and sweep you away. Yes, that happens and I have seen it happen.

You see change happens all around us, when we take the lead on change that becomes progress. When we take charge of our health, wealth, and personal happiness in small steps then we become a constant work in progress. It is great to achieve goals and it is equally important to keep on making new ones and working at them.

Know Thyself, the Sage and Guide Episode 4

You

begin to become a Michael Angelo to your own David-you. Yes, it does matter how early on in your life you pick up the chisel and hammer and how consciously, courageously, creatively, compassionately, and constructively you begin to use these tools. Therein lies self-mastery.

INVICTUS by William Ernest Henley and Read by Raju Mandhyan

Out of the night that covers me,
Black as the Pit from pole to pole,
I thank whatever gods may be
  For my unconquerable soul.

In the fell clutch of circumstance
I have not winced nor cried aloud.
Under the bludgeonings of chance
My head is bloody, but unbowed.

Beyond this place of wrath and tears
Looms but the Shadow of the shade,
And yet the menace of the years
Finds, and shall find, me unafraid.

It matters not how strait the gate,
How charged with punishments the scroll,
I am the master of my fate:
I am the captain of my soul.

I am the master of my fate:
I am the captain of my soul.

Sirf Gyaan Motivational Poem

The

journey of life ain’t easy, these dark times are tough

Discrimination and bias at every step, causes blistered and bleeding feet.

Some are born with a rich clan’s boon; others lie their way in a town filled with goons.

Some have acquired deceitfulness, while others are blessed with beauty.

Don’t sit back thinking this is the way destiny deals.

Hear the call of the distant drums, heed what every cell in your body scream

There still is life within you; there still is honor within you.

Pick up the bow of learning, and hope not for any blessing from above

On the arrow of consciousness, carve out a notch of victory.

On the forehead of misfortune, paint this in bold red:

Those that think you can, I dare you to stop me now.

Those who have plundered before, I dare you to try now.

On the playground of knowledge, everyone’s an equal,

That which turns around destiny, is the ultimate weapon called knowledge

So make up your mind starting today and swear to yourself

And know that on the battlefield of yoke and plough,

Beauty has no effect, nor do deceit and fallacy,

Higher race plays no part and neither does legacy

Knowledge and only knowledge wins you your place in the sky.

Mano po

"Mano po" is a Filipino ritual performed mostly by younger people when they happen to meet and greet elderly people. It is almost like saying "May I seek your blessing, please!" It is said with reaching out for the right hand of the elder and then gently drawing it close to let it touch your forehead. Young Filipinos are taught this early on in childhood and the long-term effect is that they learn to treat elders gently, compassionately, and very respectfully.
