"Mano po" is a Filipino ritual performed mostly by younger people when they happen to meet and greet elderly people.
It is almost like saying "May I seek your blessing, please!"
It is said with reaching out for the right hand of the elder and then gently drawing it close to let it touch your forehead.
Young Filipinos are taught this early on in childhood and the long-term effect is that they learn to treat elders gently, compassionately, and very respectfully.
